I learn by doing. I’ve always been a hands-on learner — the kind who’d rather climb the hill than look at it. That’s how I teach too. When I discovered experiential learning at StFX in 1987, it just made sense: people learn best by doing, not just listening. I’ve used that approach ever since, from classrooms to communities around the world.

Moving online was a new challenge. Making digital learning experiential was tough but worth the struggle. This course is the result: practical, engaging, and designed to help you build skill, not just watch from the sidelines.

(This photo was taken on the Coast to Coast Trail in the UK. I highly recommend it and if you ever want to do it, let me know. I’ve got the maps and would love to chat.)
