Remember: when you're reffing, you don't play. A content-neutral leader stays out of the ideas, opinions and solutions, and stays very active on the process.

Sometimes stepping in is the right call: when you hold critical information no one else has, when the decision is yours and you're seeking input, or when you're invited in and someone else is facilitating.
